"What is freaky to me is the media and Hollywood is so convinced that Middle America and mainstream America cares what it thinks," the actor tells Laura Ingraham, after saying that he will leave the country if Obama wins.

He, an actor (far and away the least talented of the Baldwin bunch, to be sure), is using his position as an actor to make a political statement decrying actors using their positions as actors to make political statements.
And we won't get into the whole "Middle America hates Hollywood so much they routinely elect actors to office" thing.
